Rainbow 04:11
Rainbow Love's rainbow Love's color Rainbow Spin circles around me Rainbow True spectre of your nature Rainbow A gift from life to me Wake up! Wake up! You've been asleep so long Wake up! Wake up! Before the rainbow's gone Rainbow Life's rainbow Life's color Rainbow Spin circles inside me Rainbow Your dreams and minds forgotten Rainbow As deep as you can be Wake up! Wake up! You've been asleep so long Wake up! Wake up! The rainbow's never gone.

Modern Age 04:49
Come to your love Come to your senses Come to your love – oh, oh Follow to your heart Come to your love – ah, ha Life in past tenses Come to your love – yeah Follow to your heart Take the best of me Take the rest of me The rest is history Turn another page Take the best of me Take the rest of me In the modern age A slip of the tongue Loss of all senses Nothing is wrong – no, no, no Everything's right – so right Come to your love – yeah Life in past tenses Come to your love Just follow to your heart Take the best of me Take the rest of me The rest is history Turn another page Take the best of me Take the rest of me In the modern age.

Words 04:03
Found myself writing down a message From me to you Found I didn't really have a message To pull me through So I woke up and tore me up a letter Threw it away – threw it away I guess I'll have to get to you a message Some other way Words come slowly again Words come slowly again Found myself waiting for a message From you to me Won't you send an angel with a message To relieve me Oh I woke up and dreamed about a letter What would it say What could it say I guess I'll have to wait and get your message Some other way Words come slowly again Words come slowly again.

Rubber masks with funny faces Moving in forbidden places Gives a sense of false protection Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again Beaded brow with perspiration Captive of a light sedation Fight the wars to save the nation Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again Find a man with wondrous eyes Feed 'em all a pack of lies Find your lover – lose your life Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again – takin' a chance again Where are all the men of absolute perfection? Who are the victims of natural selection? The strong stay strong And the weak are getting weaker Cut some corners – save some money Kill the bees and steal the honey Don't forget the bears are hungry Takin' a chance again Wrap your world in contradiction Make your life a work of fiction Grease the gears to ease the friction Takin' a chance again In your heart a fire is burnin' In your mind the wheels are turnin' Scrap the knowledge – time for learnin' Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again Takin' a chance again – takin' a chance again.

Bound for glory Full of expectation But no one knows the fire that burns within They're gonna try to knock that chip right off your shoulder They never play for fun They only play to win So, take care, my love Take care of that sensitive nature Just take care my love Take care of that sensitive nature Time is just a burden on your shoulders The moments fly with no relief in sight The sky grows dark The air is full of thunder C'mon and rest your soul And stay by me tonight And take care, my love Take care of that sensitive nature Just take care, my love Take care of that sensitive nature.

about

ORIGINAL FACE represents the new wave revival in her purest form. Recorded between 1985 and 1991, Ghosha’s vocals and Tao’s guitars sat shelved for over 35 years, and at long last are enjoying a postmodern formulation for their worldwide premiere. Original Face subtly and subconsciously completes what was missing from the era, reimagined for the present moment; “original face” is a Buddhist concept where subject and object are one.

GHOSHA (Patricia D’Aguanno)
Ghosha was a songwriting genius and performance legend in greater Philadelphia and beyond for over 40 years. Her legacy started in the mid ‘70s performing in the local folk scene which developed into a lifetime of writing country, folk, disco, pop, rock, and musical theater. She moved from Philly to NYC and then to Oregon to join the storied Rajneesh commune, where she and Lesley became Ghosha & Tao. In 1984, they returned to Philly to pursue their eclectic and cutting edge musical obsession. As Ghosha grew older, she found herself performing at many venues throughout Philadelphia. She landed a fifteen year engagement at Tavern on Camac in Center City, and was the primary entertainer for Governor Ed Rendell, who considered her a friend. Ms D’Aguanno was called home in April, 2018. She left her mark on the city which will never fade.

TAO (Lesley Mowat)
Tao has known about the power of playing music since the age of eight when she took to the piano, and her love of music is rooted in both classic rock and the standards of yesteryear.  In the late ‘70s she continued her creative journey as a photographer, capturing NYC nightlife including such greats as Liza Minnelli, Andy Warhol and Bette Midler. In 1980, Lesley met Pat after seeing her perform in Greenwich Village, and a thirteen year musical adventure began. Tao earned her BFA & MFA, and she taught at University of the Arts in pioneering days of new media. In her musical life, Tao studied rhythm, including West African drumming and Indian Tabla. Tao inhabits a world of sound, creating music which assists in the personal healing process. Through her shamanic and sound healing studies, she uses drums and other instruments to assist in consciousness-shifting. She facilitates musical improvisation as a means of personal expression for musicians and non-musicians alike. Tao is still rockin’ it on guitar.
